3. Tailored therapy sessions
1. Free consultation
Schedule a 15 minute informal phone or video consultation with Be Heard to outline any concerns you have regarding your child's communication skills. During this session, you'll receive professional guidance on the most suitable course of action for your child's future communication progress.
2. Initial assessment
Initial assessments typically last for approximately 90 minutes, and an additional 30 minutes is required for a written summary following the session. The Speech and Language Therapist will carry out observations and assessment of your child. These sessions can be carried out either within your home or your child's educational setting, however we highly recommend your presence as a case history will be required to be taken from you as the parent/caregiver.
3. Tailored therapy sessions
Therapy sessions last around 45 minutes, and may vary based on the child. The fee covers 1 hour, allowing time for valuable feedback and information exchange between us and parents, caregivers and/or education staff following the session.
Your presence is encouraged, promoting effective skill practice between sessions. We can conduct sessions where it best suits your child - be it at home or their educational environment, with necessary permissions. Our service is centred around your family's needs.
Please note that there is an additional fee of 45p per mile, for any additional mileage than 10 miles from postcode region SY5, to and from the sessions.
